FAQ

Almost all of our cabins follow the shoreline and range 10-50 feet from the water’s edge.  Our shoreline is easily accessible ledge rock beach perfect for campfires, playing, and enjoying the refreshing Lake Superior.

Although we have a house full of pet lovers, we are a pet-free zone. Violations of this pet-free policy will result in a substantial fine.

Please see cabins page for occupancy for each cabin. These are set by the Lake County Health Department and are not negotiable.

We welcome current guests to re-book their week-long stay either at arrival or departure. All other guests can book up to 11 months in advance for week-long stays. See www.gooseberrycabins.net/reservation-information/ for details!

We know that life happens beyond our control.  Please see our cancellation information for more details.  Unfortunately, the deposit is nonrefundable.

Whether it is summer or winter, we do offer a free night when you book a week-long reservation. Please contact us with any questions.

Take the first right turn lane (you’ll see the blue “Gooseberry Cabins” sign) and proceed down East Castle Danger Road a 1/2 mile to our driveway sign on the right.

Yes, we have WiFi.  No, we do not have TVs in any of our cabins/units.  The previous owners decided this and we have stayed with this as it offers a place of retreat away from chaos in the world!
